Recursion by Blake Crouch
Updated: Feb 14, 2020

Summary: A new disease known as False Memory Syndrome is driving people madness and suicide as they suddenly begin having memories of lives they never lived. Neuroscientist Helena Smith and Officer Barry Sutton know the truth of this phenomenon and must team up to stop reality from crumbling.

Review: The mind and memories are fascinating as scientists and researchers are just now beginning to untangle these complex ideas and processes. Recursion is a fascinating story of the mind intermixing and even changing reality.
At first, I was a little worried about the direction this fictional story would take, but was more than pleasantly surprised. The mix of actual scientific breakthroughs and sci-fi was gripping and evocative. Definitely one of the best sci-fi books I have read in a while.
