Good Omens by Terry Pratchett & Neil Gaiman
Updated: Feb 14
Summary: Since the beginning, an angel and a demon have been living comfortably on Earth and would rather like to keep it that way. However, the end of the world is right around the corner and they lost the Anti-Christ.
Review: Good Omens is now by far one of my absolute favorite books! The teamwork of Pratchett and Gaiman is reminiscent of my all-time favorite author, Douglas Adams.
I somehow had never heard of Good Omens until I happened to see the trailer for the Amazon Prime series based on the book (which was equally amazing! David Tennant is Mmmmmm). Of course, I am one where I like to read it before I see it, so I picked this up as soon as I could.
Every paragraph is brilliantly ridiculous and expertly crafted. It is rare to find this much genius in one book, from Agnes Nutter's prophecies to the Witchfinder Army to the bond between Crowley and Aziraphale. This is definitely one I could reread over and over and over...until the apocalypse. (And rewatch the series, too!)
